Automatic, apartment-size dishwashers may be installed at the shareholder’s expense, only with the guidance of the Managing Agent. If you are considering installing one, you must first check that it meets certain requirements, including:

 

• Under 50 decibels

• 3 gallons of water (or less) per cycle

• Energy star rated

• Outgoing filtration of solids into drain

• Leak protection system (including auto shut off, dual inlet hose and drip pan pump).

• Dedicated 20 amp circuit breaker

 

All dishwashers must be installed by a licensed plumber and electrician (to be coordinated with Managing Agent). Any leaks from dishwashers will be shareholder’s responsibility.
