The corporation must have access to every apartment in the event of an emergency. Residents must leave a full set of keys with the superintendent. These keys will be kept in a safe, locked box. They will be used only in the event of an emergency (for example, if there is flood in the bathroom that leaks into a lower floor). Residents who fail to provide keys to the super will be liable for any expenses incurred in the course of gaining entry to their apartments in the event of emergencies.
